I'm pretty sure the parts are powder coated at the factory and cooked before the engine is assembled. I wouldn't want to cook mine with it already assembled. I'm sure it can be done but it would be expensive. There are a few powder coaters here on the forum I'm sure they would know. Try Joe ,aka jrk5892
05 superglide custom as of a week ago sporting a black engine....lot of work...looks way better than silver....will be durable but not as much as the stock powder coat....
best to take off inner primary to get all the casing on engine and tranny....
I used 1200 deg. high heat paint.... is not texture black but probably more durable and still has texture from the original silver powdercoat....
you would have to pull the part off the motor, if you bake the whole motor your just asking for troubles with the seals and gaskets... you have to pull it off, media blast, then powder, then re assemble
