Wish they woulda made one in '07, then maybe mine would sound like a Harley instead of a Honda.

 

reded: Not sure what 07 street bob you are riding, but my 06 sounds like a Harley.

Anyway, I have 06 and its fuel injected with a 6 speed tranny. I absolutely L-O-V-E it!

 

06 made way for the 6 speed tranny and on more carbs. I'm loving the 6 speed, and have no issues with the FI, but I know a lot of people still wish they had carbs.

sound like a honda... huh even the honda V twins sound "off" to a HD due to make up of the motor... your HD should sound like an HD... the sound is patented... i wish they made a carborated bike in 06 but then again the more i have the injection the more i like it!

 

Screw the carb I love my 07. First FI bike I've owned and I ain't looking back.

 

Compare the sound to a TC 88 with a carb, or an EVO for that matter, and you'll be depressed. In no way does the FI motor sound like a carbed bike. Idles waaaay too high and makes hardly a whimper when letting off the throttle, except for the occassional pop. Patented sound my @$s, if you can get your FI bike to sound like a carbed bike I'll kiss your @$s!

 

My understanding is you can add a race tuner and micro adjust it all. If you are dying for that idle(realllllll slowwwww) all you do is dial it in. My buddies honda sounds like, well, a honda. My HD sounds like an HD. No thanks on the cheeks cowboy.
