Loudness of pipes is all very subjective so it's hard to give any meaningful input to your decision. Yet let me give you this bit of anecdotal evidence for your worry. I have the 2" Rush pipes on my '06 LR. I was in a parking lot the other day and just starting it set off the car alarm next to me. That said, I've had the pipes for two years and that was a first for me. Overall, I found the 2" pipes the best combination of loudness and the deep tone that I love so much. I think you will really enjoy them. As noted above, one of the beauties of \\; the Rush pipes is that you can fairly easily swap baffles if the 2" ones are not to your liking. Enjoy the ride........

Not loud enough and not enough edge to them. The BUB Chamber Maids on my 94 LowRider had a much superior sound. Cost three times as much though. The sound too me is kinda boomy w/not enough edge or bite. I'm considering ripping out the fiberglass to see if I can get that bite I'm looking for.
I've got the Rush w/2" on my fxdf. Sound is quite a bit louder than stock, though not obnoxious. Deeper than you would expect, much deeper/louder than most slipons I've heard. jluvs is right, they're not 'edgy,' so if you're looking for something really loud then you'll probably either have to go with the 2.25" or a full replacement set of pipes.
That's a very good point. When I fitted my Rush slip-ons they slipped on easy whereas I had to tap the originals on with a rubber mallet. They are definately a looser fit so make sure they're clamped on good and tight.
just watch those clamps when installing the new mufflers. If u slide them down too much u wont get them tight enough and mufflers could fall off. Dont slide them down enough and youll get a leak. Its recommended to replace the clamps when u replace the mufflers. Do keep an eye out for them loosing up.
thanks for all the info fellas, ive sitting here for three days tracking my shipment on ups.com, the company i work for would had those pipes at my door in two days, but now i ask what is this about ripping out the fiberglass, and has anyone done it yet

do not take out the fiberglass it will burn in and do not take out the baffle(it will sound like crap).
leave em as is and pray they don't pop on decel...
I just swapped out my SE slip-ons with Rush 2.0, and they are louder. Not sure if you can tell, but here a a couple of video files (depending on your connection, you may have to wait a few minutes for them to load - approx 2.8MB each)
