seems like this is just a dunlop issue? how bad was it rubbing? could you have trimmed some off the belt guards?
who else has done this with what brand of tires?
what did you have to modify?
so far it looks like metzlers and avon cobra work without modifying wires or belt guards
I had the Metzler 200 on mine with the belt guard. I have a 180 back on now. 200 looked good, I just moved back to 180 because I thought the 200 really affected the handling. Turned out to be another issue.

I recently swapped out my metz for those cobras.. they seem to walk around more on small cracks and tar snakes than the metz did... going back to metzler soon as i have the cash to spare.
When I had the service done at 10k I guess the Indy I used adjusted the steering neck. It was really loose afterwards. I had the bike at a dealer a while afterwards and they noticed it right away. Tightened it up and the bike ran fine and didn't feel squirrely anymore.
anyone notice a much better ride after getting rid of the stock fat bob Dunlap, regardless of the size they went to?
Went with Avons and with 200 on rear and they ride better than the dunlops. Stick better but do wear down faster so thats the trade off for softer rubber. Got 12,000 out of the dunlop and 7,500 out of the avon. On my second avon rear tire now.
