Default 2 up Seat help

I have a 2008 Street Bob and have recently purchased a 2up seat for it (Sidekick Custom). I am wondering if there is a way I can install the 2up seat to only have to use it for when my girl wants a ride. I want to be able to take it off and use the single seat most of the time. Can this be done and if so is there a way to have the 2up seat on there and not scratch the fender? Any ideas.

I heard of people using a mouse pad to keep the 2 up seat from scratching the fender. Also when i put my 2 up on my streetbob i just added another fender nut instead of moving the factory one. so i can just bolt on my solo seat anytime. (not that that happens much lol)

Did you install the grab strap and did you remove the 2 foam pads that were used for you single seat?

Install another fender nut and put some felt or other padding under the passenger portion of the 2-up seat.

Kury makes a big knurled screw that makes it easy to change them out.

I myself installed the grab strap to the fender, and when I go solo I rolled strap and tuck under solo seat where wire connectors go

All that works great for the seat. Still gonna look silly with pass pegs and no rear seat, imo. My wife gets on it during 1 week of the year when my daughter is gone soe I just take it all apart till then.
