one of the members of the board here just shot me out a new shifter lever for the bob,
i got to let this road rash on my arm heal a little longer before i go out and put the lever on change the derby cover and figured i'd do the clutch adjustment while i was in there
but i took it through the neighborhood the other day just to shake off the jitters and used my makeshift bolt in a hole shifter,
and fired it up today just to keep her happy
but anyhow thanks to snipercj for the lever he's a good dude
i think all the gremlins are gone now i dropped a honda 750 real bad about 20 years ago
but if you haven't ate it for a while and forget the taste of hot asphalt you get cocky and then you get sloppy
i'll carry these scars down my left arm the rest of my life as a reminder a tough lesson
but it will make me safer and more conscientious, for many many years to come

I had a bent front spoke wheel on my King & HD has discontinued the hubs. Bigskyhd in Florence, MT met the Old Dominion Freight truck headed for Billings on the highway last night. I picked up his old wheels from the freight yard this morning and the bike was on the road before 5PM today. Thanks, Craig.
I learn so much from this site and I love how helpful everyone is. Even though I ask really dumb questions. No one has ever made me feel dumb or that I am wasting a post on the boards.
If you think about it, you could probably consider us all "Family" in a way. With as little time as ive been riding seeing people on bikes broke down, I'd pull over and asked if they needed a truck to put their bike on so we could bring it home or even offer my cell phone, or even just to sit their and bs with them till the tow truck or whoever got there...Once I started riding I just noticed the feeling of comradery that we all share
I hear you on the scars as a reminder. Only problem for me is they run from my butt up to my shoulder blades....easy to forget where stupidity got me when it's that hard to see. Glad you're motoring again.

Glad you walked away and your back out on 2 wheels. And as far as getting help on this forum goes, you can't beat it. Last week I asked if any one could help me out with some stock risers I got respones right away and new risers a few days later. Thanks, glide05.
Glad you are doing better freebyrd. I agree this place is great for advice, tips, etc. We all share a common bond and I think that's pretty cool even though most of us have probably never met. This site is by and far the most visited on my computer, that's for sure. Brothers (and sisters) helping each other.
