Has anyone found a shift rod that fits the HD fwd controls? I measured mine and it is almost 16". I dont want to add extensions . Nobody from HD to most of the aftermarket books have a piece that I need. Can anyone help? ThX...........
Get the rod you want and add the ends and extensions to make it fit.
Do you have extended forwards? I extended mine 3 inches and now it is almost 16". I got tired of trying to figure out the lengths and decided to make my own. 1 piece of 5/16 rod 1 5/16 x 24 die and 2 shift rod ends from JP. total cost was about $45.00 (rod ends were 30)
I've got a Harley 33815-06 on my '07. It's the round polished stainless one, but they have a bunch more that fit '06 and up. My stock rod is 14 3/4" stud center to center, what do you have that's 16"?
Landmark also has some for '06 and up Dynas. http://www.landmarkmfg.com/Content_P..._CHROME_v2.htm
If your lookiing at HD linkagaes, there are the '06 and earlier and '07 and later. They differ about two inches. I think the older ones are shorter, but I can't remember for sure.

'04 - '05 linkage on my '06 Wide
I have the stock forwards on my '06 Wide. I picked up the "Dyna" Script linkage rod from ebay. The one I bought was s'posta be for '04 - '05 only. It fit my '06 just fine. Even if it were the wrong length from stock, it looks like you could hook up the shorter length rod, then just clock your lever on the splined shaft so it's positioned correctly for your foot.

I have the HD forwards but as all BOB owners know parts are limited. I measured and it is almost 15". I just dont want to piece it all with extensions. MY bud with the Heritage just walks in and gets whatever he needs and I get "fits all but the 06 FXDBI". I know its only been out since 06 but the MOCO should start giving us some part options.........
Got mine for my 06 Bob from Jireh cycles for 37 bucks and bought the ends at an aftermarket shop for 7 bucks each, its billet chrome with the three skull design, came in 14.75 inch length
