Default EFI - Confused

I am looking at putting new SE II or Vance & Hines pipes along with a D&M Spear Air filter onto my street bob.

I very confused on whats required to enable me to use these combinations. I have heard of all different EFI mods, SERT, Download, Fuel Management chips, Self adjusting EFI chips, commander, I have read a few posts and have made chosing the correct application very confusing. Are the downloads performed by the dealers, and do they effect the warranty.

Will I require this download or chip with this type of air filter, or do you require it with any type. Does it void warranty if the EFI is not modified, and what are the results.

Thanks

There is no "chip" to plug into the EFI controller. you need to adjust the map. If you plan on doing more mods in the future, I would go with the SERT. If this is all you will EVER do, then your dealer can do a flash or a download. It is a one time reflash of the EFI controller. The download or a reflash is included with the SERT and can be done by you if you want. The SERT is also completely adjustable and can tune your bike no matter what mods you do ... well within reason.
