Default 08 Street Bob front forks

I'm looking to powder coat my front forks. I'm going to take them apair myself and I was wonder if there is anything that I should know that would make it easier for me ie: tools or doing it a certain way. I guess what I'm asking is are there any trick to doing it easy without screwing them up. I'd like to do the rockers also. Any advice will help.
Thanks

If you have not got a service manual i would suggest you go get you one. Not only will they have direction on how to remove, disassemble, and reassemble, but they should have an exploded view of all the parts. Which goes a long way in helping you do all the above. Also this is one of the best purchases you can make for your bike. Gives you a bunch of info on maintenence, trouble shooting, and wiring. Also should be able to let you know tools that hd recommends you use during certain tasks like disassembly of fork slides.

I assume you are coating them black? its a good look but before I did it I think I would consider just buying a set of FatBob lowers and making the switch to a dual disc setup while I was at it...........anyone done that? s/b a straight conversion right?

I've got the manual, and I think I'm going to go cheap and do it myself. Instead of buying. Thanks for the info though.
