I need help in picking new seat. I ride a 06 Street Bob with the original seat. I usually ride between 150 to 200 miles on a weekend. It is ok up to about 150 miles then it gets a little small( if you get my drift), I have looked at the web sites of the major makers and they all say they are the best. I am asking the riders what is the best not the dealers. I do not have a lot of money (poor cop) to spend. I am looking for the best deal. I have looked at the Mustang brand and they appear a little hard. The Corbin are too proud of theirs, the LePera looks good but are they good for long trips. I am looking for a solo only, wife does not ride. Need help with picking the right one.
You can get a Lepera fairly cheap off of ebay. I've been on long rides with mine and it's not too bad despite how thin it is. Corbins are nice too and more comfortable but they are expensive.
I got my Lepera off ebay for $130 and think its a little more comfy than stock once you get used to it. Its not a long haul seat but I have no issues doing 200 to 300 miles on it.
There are a LOT of previous threads on the forum on that subject. A quick search will probably answer your question.

The search function on these boards sucks at best. If it even works you usually have to weed through a ton of useless crap to find what you need. I hate using it almost as much as I hate seeing the post police pull up when someone asks for a little help. If your not going to contribute please just move along. He is using this board just as it was intended.
I went with the H-D replacement seat the Reach seat to move me closer to the tank and give me more support when stopped in reaching the ground better, but it is not comfortable, from what I have heard from others is that the LePera bare bones seat is a good choice
I'm rockin' the stock seat, but if I were to go with an aftermarket piece, I'd probably go with a LePera Daytona 2-Up...the compfy expensive one. Whiney wife...
I'm a huge corbin Hollywood solo fan, and wouldn't have it any other way, but since it seems like you don't go on very long rides the barebones would be a good one. It looks bad a$$, and is very reasonable price!
