Chrome cost: give me an idea please
Just want to know if my local chrome guy is in line with what should be expected. Brought him two highway mounts for the 2002 Dyna Low Rider. They were original black, although I do not know if this is powdercoated or painted. He quoted me $30 for each piece, so $60 for the pair. Seems high, but I know that there is time involved in stripping before the chrome work. What seems like a proper price?

From my experience dealing with old cars, that doesn't sound bad if he does a quality plating. If he does a good job at that price would probably be worth telling others about. The front bumper plating job on my sig pic was $400 plus approx 4 years ago....
