Default '08 superglide modification

Hi there,

I bought my first Harley a couple of months ago. I wanted to share my toy after some esthetic modification. What do you think?

Looks cool. Never seen anyone move their speedo like that. So, what did you do? I'm guessin' no indicator lights.

When I was in the market for my first Harley, I'd set a dollar figure I felt fit my situation. While I drooled at all the chrome and fancy doo-dads on the different models, The basic, stripped Super Glide (FXDI) was all I could afford.

I am glad it was. I have now had the personal satisfaction you can only experience after 18 months of sneakin ****, first in the house, then on the bike. I have also learned a lot and now have a bike I drool all over as I wear out the odometer on her.

Your's looks great and already deserves some drool. Great idea on the speeo. I bet you will be getting lots of questions about it.

I bet you'll get a lot of questions too....like, how did you mount the speedo there and what about the indicator lights?

ok, i mount the speedo on the axle with "extra stong double face tape". Sound cheap but work perfectly fine. There was enough space in between tank and riser.
As far as indicator lights, I think of something like the picture. What do you thinK?

Very nice!

When you installed the risers, did you have to install longer cables?

Hi Harleyplantation,

No, I didn't have to change the cables. Saved time and money!
