Bought a digital camera
But so far I've had no luck posting pics.When I post the link between the brackets,no pic appears,just the written URL. What am I doing wrong?

Looks like you may have copied the URL prematurely. Evidently that's not the actual image location. Probably just a preview of a "send image" feature the software you're using provides you. If you're a member here, upload the pictures to your photo gallery and copy the URLs from there. If you're not, try Photobucket or Flickr.
Best bet, never use the software crap that comes with your digital camera. If you run XP, you should be able to just plug the camera in and grab the pictures without all the branded software stuff.

your links are no good. When in doubt, paste the image's address you're trying to use right into your browser's address bar and see if the image appears. If not, you've got the wrong link/address.

Copy the link into a url bar in a new explorer page and try it. If you don't get the image we will not get it here.
