Default Fat Bob Air Filter

Has anyone installed the Stage I air filter by screaming eagle??? I have the screaming eagle back plate w/ the K& N filter....bought it from FuelMoto. Well, when I had it installed I used the factory cleaner cover and found it rubbing on the underside of the gas tank, which made a little scratch...Not Happy!!! It seems to have moved higher than the original filter settting.....Has anyone else had this issue??? Can I run it with the filter and no cover????

I haven't run with that senerio but yes you could run it without a cover (not in the rain though). Why not put a spacer (a few washers) between the cover & filter to set it out a little?

I have the Screaming Eagle Stage 1, it has two spacers to keep it at a safe distance from the tank.
