6'2'' here with a 36'' inseam. I have an '07 Wide Glide with what I assume are the standard forward controls. I wouldn't mind extending them but they are fine most of the time.

if you can find a wide glide at a local dealer, go sit on it and check it out. if it's comfy go with standard, if you could use more room - go with extended.

based on inseam - if you're in the 34+ range - you would probably prefer extended.

I think Kuryakyn recommends extended forwards for inseams greater than 33". With that said, I got the standards with a 34" inseam and am comfortable that way. It gives me a decent bend in my knees so I can still shift my weight around easier than I could if my legs were straight out there so I feel like I have better control. I think it keeps my legs from getting as tired as well.

It really depends on what you are looking for. If you want the "poser stretch", which I think looks ridiculous, to see someone flying down the road with their legs fully locked at the knees, then get the extendeds. Be sure to get some fingerless gloves to go with them though (just kidding).

Youd be better of with +2" or +3" extended forward controls especially for your height. Im 5'8" and use regular forward controls

Not knowing any better when I bought my bike, the mids were to tight, so I went with the Harley Forwards, I didn't know other companies made them however I love the harley ones. I am 6'1'' and the harley forwards leave my legs with a little comfortable bend in them, plus if I want to stretch out on the highway I just stretch my legs out and let my heels rest on the pegs. It is pretty comfortable.

+1.... 6'2" 34 inseam.. i do the same exact thing with the standard harley forwards...

road an 06 dyna with extended controls.... it was OK for puttin around town.. but on the back roads it felt uncomfortable and a bit uncontrolled.... i like to ride the bike, not be along for the ride!!

Go with the Kuryakyn +3" controls .. maybe you can get away with the 2" instead of the 3's. I love my Kuryakyn's, just put em on last week and a very professional setup.
