I had Samson Ripsaws on my evo sporty. They were the earlier version without bafflles and were FREAKING LOUD. Really sounded awesome but eventually I ended up putting baffles in to take the edge off. They do look amazing though, got lots of comments on them.
The only thing to consider is that because they turn down quite a bit at the back, if your bike is lowered they will likely scrape in hard right handers (mine did). Anyway they look good, and sound good too. Performance prolly isn't as good as a 2-1 pipe or even a good set of slip ons but I certainly never noticed anything on the "seat-o-the-pants dyno" that gave me rise for concern. I would recommend running baffles in them and I always had AR Cones as well to help with the backpressure (FWIW)
man, s#*t's weak, i already know about vance and hines, and if i wanted a 2 into 1 id probably buy a thunderheader! all i want is some feedback about samsons, bassani, and bubs. i dont want to come off like an *******, and i appreciate everyones opinion, but please just give me something to go with....thanks
ive got a 2006 streetbob, and am looking to purchase a new set of pipes. i have narrowed it down to 4 choices-samson groundpounders/ripsaws, bassani pro streets, bub jughuggers. can anyone that has had one or any of these pipes give me some insight. im looking for power but most of all a deep throaty sound with a nice cackle when i let off the throttle....thanks
I have the Bassani Pro-Street slash cuts ppes on my 07 SB. The are great.
I have the Samson Street Sweepers Lenend Series. They have the removable baffles.
I'm here to tell you brother that I love the sound of these pipes. I got some buddys that have V&H and I think my Samsons have a better tone. And i like how they sweep down and away from the bike. http://samsonusa.com/products/productID/311
