Default auto arming alarm question !!

Hi all ,

A friend of mine here in Turkey has a 2005 dyna wide glide EFİ with the alarm system that auto arms itself after 30 sec when ignition is turned off .

He would like to disable this so the alarm will arm and disarm only when the fob is used ,meaning he would like to arm and disarm the alarm manually .

I readed his manual but couldnt find smthing ,

Can you guys tell me if this is possible and if yes how to do it ??

Thanks in advance !!

I have an 04 wide glide and the factory default was same as that. The manual did explain how to do it in the security section. I don't recall, but will look it up for you if you need. the 30 second thing was a pain in the *** since I always forgot about it and set off the alarm (I put the siren on it) and it was quite embarrassing at times.

I take it back, I just looked in manual and it states:
"Can Not Be Changed On International Vehicles"

Bummer, looks like you are stuck with it if it was as an overseas model

Yes it possible and it is in the manual (at least is is in the 2006 Dyna MOM). I just set mine to auto arm after 30 seconds..... Sorry don't have the manual handy to tell you what page.

On the 04, it is Table 23, page 77, unless it changed after 04, international ones are stuck w/ auto arm and can not be disabled, per the manual.

Manual says its not possible for international bikes , but the strange thisng is , 2 other friends , a cvo fatboy and a 2006 night train dont have the auto arm in 30 secs , they arm and disarm only when you press the fob .

I asked them how they did it but LOL they dont really remember how they did it .

Here it is out of my 04 manual. May be different for your's, but I doubt it.

Step 1: Turn ign key on-off-on-off-on
Step 2: Press left turn signal 2 times and release
confirmation: 2 or 3 flashes on turn signals (depending on
configuration) 2 for USA, 3 for everything else
Step 3: Press and hold key fob button until confirmation recieved
Confirmation: 1 flash on turn signals
Step 4: Repeat step 3
Confirmation: 2 flashes on turn sigals
Step 5: Press left turn signal 1 time and release
Confirmation: Turn signals flash to indicate option selected:
1 flash - Auto arming disabled
2 flashes - auto arming enabled
Step 6: Repeat step 5 to switch between auto / auto off
Step 7: Turn IGN switch off

Good luck

Auto arm on international modules can only be disabled by the dealer (the us version can be enabled/disabled by the procedure described above)

I just swapped modules with my buddy not knowing his was a european module (don't ask me how that got on his US bike) anyway, I have a appointment set with the dealer to disable it.
