Battery help!
Some of you may have read my other posts about my headlights dimming every now and then and ocassional hard starts on my 08 Fat Bob. Last night it was going crazy driving to work (3rd shift) and this morning it almost didn't start. I made an appointment to bring it in for service BUTTTTTTTT tonight I think I discovered something. I went out to start my bike and it died electronically, completely dead, no power at all. Then came back and died again. THEN I did something when it had totally NO power ... I tapped the side of the battery box and it jumped back to life full power ... then died. Then I kept tapping and was able to start the bike.
Seems obvious my problem is simply a loose wire on the battery!!!!!
I've only had the bike for a little over a week so haven't done anything to it so here's a simple question ... how do I take off the battery cover? Do I need to remove the seat (and that darn strap) to get to the battey terminals?
I'm 99% sure now that a battery cable is simply very loose and a visit for service is probably not needed!!! (Thank god ... electrical problems can be hard to find!)
Thanks in advance for your guidance!

I have an 09 Street Bob I had to remove my seat remove 2 or 3 screws around the battery box and there are 2 tabs at the top of the batt cover you just need to pull the cover off after you remove the screws and pull down, just be careful of the tabs on the top. I hope this helps like I said I have an 09 Street Bob sooooo.....
On the 07s, the battery cover is held on with a single screw at the bottom. Remove the screw and rotate upward slightly then pull. The terminals will be looking right at you. So now you have the answer for the 07s and 09s. One ought to work for your 08.
Well mine is a Fat Bob, not Street Bob ... but I'm sure one of these methods will work ... Thanks! UPDATE it was a bad end on the cable ... bike is fixed!
