Default Saddlebag supports

Fitted a pair of supports to 06 fxdci which required the indicator stalks to be moved back about an inch and wiring to be threaded thru the stalk.

Problem is back tyre must be coming up past the fixing nuts and rubbing against the wiring as copper is actually now exposed on the left hand side only, doesn't seem to be rubbing on the right.

Even if i can align the wheel to prevent any rubbing, it still means with two up and hitting a bump, tyre is coming within about 5mm of the fixing nuts.

Anyone else using this design of support:

And should i be concerned about design?

Just had a look at shock settings they are currently on "2" if i notch up to "3" would this increase clearance between tyre and fender?
