I have been doing some work on the ride and I have been asked to put up some new pics, so here is what is done to date. Let me know what you think.
Thanks
Those grips aren't something I would normally like but on that bike they look right at home. Very old school. As stated the rear is a bit high, but other than that man that is a frickin sweet *** bike.
benwiggin2, That is funny! I give you that!
I do appreciate all the comments, good or bad and respect all of them. As far as the comments, yes the rear needs to be lowered. I will need a bit of help here. I am looking for comments on how to do this. I am not sure what is the best way to do this and looking for suggestions on how. As a note, when I sit on the bike, it lowers alot, by about 1.5 inches at least. Guess that is what happens when you apply 275lbs. But still would like to lower it when I am not on it but still have it ride good.
As for the grips, they are red old school grips. I was looking for some added red highlights and am trying them out to see how they are. As of now, I am not real impressed with them.
As for the color and scheme, I am going after the old school hot rod type look and still perfecting it, so any idea again are welcomed.
As for the jugs, yes I plan on getting them powder coated black this fall along with some other items.
Thanks again for the comments.
Stanger, have you looked into the Progressive line of shocks? They have bolt on's that will lower your ride. Your bike has a ton of cool factor no doubt about it. Here's a link to their site. Or, better yet, click on the "search" button at the top of the page here, and type in "lowering shocks", and a bunch of stuff will come up and give you ideas.
Benwiggin2,
I have looked into the lowering shocks and have searched for this but I was searching for how to lower the fender and yet still use the airshocks, but I am thinking that you may be correct in that I may just have to use some of thier lowering shocks from progressive and forget the airshocks. Was hoping for something cheaper in an option with the airshocks. Oh well may just be time to change.
