RE: More Updated Pics of My Bob Build (Almost there!)
Zippo, as far as the seat goes I'm not sure if I will be covering the top of the battery. I figure I'll put the seat on and see how it looks. If anything, I'll probably fab up some sort of black piece that will sit under the hole and hide everything. I don't want to weld anything to the frame if I can help it. The front bracket should mount to where the tank bolts down and for the rear I will just drill two holes in the steel piece just behind the hole under the seat. Then I'll just bolt the torsion springs down. Here are some pics of the seat...just got shipped out today so I should see it Friday or Monday.
I'm glad you like the bike DyNaBob...I would love to see it in the running once it's all done!

Basic,
That seat is a work of art..badass. Thanks for the info on mounting the seat. I was looking at steel thunder custom cycles website. They have an assortment of springs and seats/pans available. I just want the battery protected from the elements, don't want to weld anything permanent over top. What size seat springs are you going with? Congrats again on the ride. You definately have the right look going on. I yanked the belt drive covers off yesterday and fabbed a sidemount plate holder. Thinking of bobbing the fender and putting on a flat black springer front end.

Thanks. I'm just going to use 2" springs...anything taller and it would make the seat look way too high I'm afraid. DNA makes a springer thats a direct bolt-on I'm pretty sure. I was talking to the DNA tech about them when we were trying to figure the wheels out. I'd already bought my bars and had stuff powdercoated or else I probably would have bought it!

Basic, is that DNA Specialty out of Gardena, CA? I would love to find a springer that was a straight bolt on. I was thinking I would have to make some changes to the neck to have one fit. Thanks for all the info.

Dude, that seat is gonna look friggin' awesome! Reminds me of Paul ***' bike I've been drooling over, with the red-brown leather armored tank and rear fender, Berserker. My favorite custom!
