Unhappy How do you install "solo" seat bolt/screw?

Took a long ride today with the 2 up seat.

When I bought my 2001 FXDWG 2 months ago It had the LaPera GEL solo installed
I was able to get my hand in to install screw insert for the 2 up seat hole, but now i want to put the solo seat back on....I can't get my hand back in that far!!!!

I s there a trick to this

Thanks Guys

Put the insert on a long zip tie or something similar then push that through the hole pulling the insert with it. Put the retaining clip on and push the zip tie out to the floor.

Just to offer a second option, take a piece of string and tie a small nut (or other weighted object small enough to fit through the hole) to the end. Drop it through the hole. Tie the new insert to the string and pull it back through til it seats in the fender.

I also use a zip/cable tie, about 12-15" one, takes about 2 minutes to change seats.

Default Its easy!

feed a long piece of string thru the hole, until you can grab the end of it, tie a knot that the nut wont slip over, and pull the nut into place (slowly so it doesent catch). I had to do this with mine because I only have 3/8"clearance between the tire and the fender, so I fed it up from in front of the tire. hop this helps.

yup.....when you buy a Mustang solo seat they include a zip tie in the bag with the nut/C clip for just that reason.

I used my boot lace and a knot when I was fresh out of zip ties.

I used doubled over scotch tape on my extendable mirror. I do take the one for the two up seat out when going solo just because it rattles and drives me nuts.
