Alright, I need some help. I have a 07 street bob with V&H short shots, SE Intake and the V&H FuelPak. I have noticed a couple things acting a bit odd.
First, I get an occasional decel pop ranging in volume from small to quite loud.
Second, If right after I start the bike I get the throttle past about 20% and then have to release down to zero the bike stalls.
Finally and the worst, this morning it was cold and a little wet (dew) the bike just did not want to start with getting extra throttle. When I hit the starter I got maybe 2-3 crank rotations and then it died. So I hit the starter again and gave it 5-10% throttle and the bike kept running although if I let off on the throttle at all the bike would start to falter. Once the bike started to get warm, all of this went away but the motor felt slightly weak compared to normal (very slightly/could be my imagination or frustration)
To me it seems that the bike is running lean or the function in EFI that acts like a choke is not working properly, but I am not as knowledgeable as others here.
So, anyone have any thoughts, anything I can do to the FP? This is my commuter so I really need to get it up and running 100%.
i give the throttle a couple of twists before i hit the starter
then again when i started riding you pulled out the choke and kick started the damn thing i know fuel injection technology is like a hundred years old but they should have left bikes carburated then you get you little screw mess with fuel air mixture a bit and adjust your idle up
i'm not sure what to tell you with all this fuel pack fuel injected after market pipe air cleaner bull crap, i'm just slapping some rush mufflers on mine for a little more noise and hope for the best
at least i know i didnt get a monday morning bike damn things been over twice and still runs great
