last night while riding, my check engine light (the yellow one) started flashing, and a few seconds later, the lights got REAL bright, then everything went dead. the bike was running good up until that point. after coasting to a stop, I got power back, sort of. the headlight does not come on, both turn signal indicators stay on (reguardless if the ignition is on or not), and I have no spark. the switch on the controlls wont crank the motor, but it cranks normally when I push the solenoid button. I also have no brake lights, or any other lights... anyone got any ideas?
sounds like your wires going to the back of the bike are shorted... you can test this by unplugging the main harness behind your battery that plugs in your rear signals and tail light... i would bet you get headlight... in turn you have either sliced though your wires under the fender... or have melted them somewhere back... try unpluging the rear harness first... if that gives you headlight you are golden! (been there same thing to me, all my wires under my rear fender where torn up... re did them all and have been golden!)
