I know this sounds ridiculous and I cant believe I am writing this, but.....
I CANT GET MY DAMN CAP OFF!!!

Anyone ever have this problem? I bet someone locktited the hell out of it.
Suggestions?

Maybe try one of the small Craftsman strap type wrenches. Might be a little tight though.

I use an appropriately sized hose-clamp on those suckers, along with some cut up inner tube to prevent cosmetic damage.

It might help to pry up the rim a hair, of course while making sure to protect the finish of the tree. Prying doesn't happen often, tho.

Yellow dish washing gloves will give you a better grip. I use to use them to adjust my rear shock preload.

Just don't go riding with them unless you cut the fingers out of them and strap on your yellow chaps.

The cap on my '03 Wide Glide was like yours, Tide. I finally got it off using big channellocks with padded jaws...but the stud inside the cap snapped off flush with the top of the fork stem. Try putting some heat on the center of the cap (where the stud is welded to the cap).

Had the same problem. Bought the smallest strap wrench I could find and it worked perfect. Not a mark and the stud, luckily, didn't snap off. Used neversieze when puting back on.
