I am not really happy with the Fuel Pack and am thinking about switching to a PCIII. I live near a shop called MGS Custom bikes and they are a certified dyno tuner by dynojet so they push the power commanders. They will do one installed plus a dyno tune for $589. Does that sound like a good price?
That's probably not a bad price. Believe I paid somewhere around two hundred bucks for mine, installed it myself and paid two fifty for the dyno tune and that was two years ago.
The Harley shop charges three fifty now for the tune and I imagine the PC III's have gone up in the last two years.
It's about right. I haven't priced a pc for my HD, but the one I had on my ricer listed for $339.00 new, I got it off flea bay, cheaper though. Is ur motor built? Prolly already a map out there for it if all u have is ac and pipes...
Fuel Moto will ship you one with a pre-loaded map for about $290. So the question really is:
Is it worth another $300 to have it installed and dynoed? Average dyno price seems to be about $250, so they are taking $50 from you to install.
If you were planning on getting it dynoed anyway, I would say it is a good deal. If you are satisfied with running the canned map, then it's probably not a good deal.
Mine came with the canned map from fuel moto and it was way,way rich. Didn't run that bad but the gas milege was terrible.I'd go with the tune.
Depending on what model bike you have and what would be considered poor mileage we can easily help out with revising any of our fuel maps as needed and I welcome any requests. Also most times in low MPG situations the throttle position settings are not calibrated causing this issue. Contact us from 9:00-5:00 CST at 877-729-4754 and we will be happy to help out.

just wait till you do your cam... then dyno and install all at the same time... I run an SERT and went with this just so when i do my build ill be able to play with the numbers.. but do not pay to dyno unless you have taht cam in there.. other wise there is no real reason to do it
My local dealer does dyno runs $35 for 3 runs just for your hp/tq. I also have a sert that I got when I first bought the bike and probably one of the best out there for tuning. Just breakin in the new 103" kit now and will have it on the dyno to fine tune it. Now its $70hr. for them to do the tune but the guy that does the tuning is the same one that builds the motors and also drag races for the dealer. I have watched them run the dyno before with the sert and looks like some pretty in depth stuff.
Seems fair. I bought my PCIII from Eastern for $245 and paid $200 for a dyno run. I've been VERY happy with the performance. Watching the dyno process was informative and cool.
