Default street bob problem???

sometimes when i shift from first to second i get caught in neutral, is this a problem or am i just not shifting far enough? does anyone else have this happen?

I did it a few times when I first got my bob. I think it takes a little time getting used to the shifter action. I also noticed an improvement with a different tranny fluid. You can also pull the shift lever and rotate it on the spline to change the angle if you are not getting enough pull.

After almost 2 years and 9000 miles, I still do it now and then. I've adjusted my shifter to try and shorten the throw and still do it now and then. Not as often as I used to though. Nothing wrong with your bike though - just nature of the beast.

Mine does it occasionally...when it does do it, it seems to happen frequently...then it just seems to go away.

swap yor fluid... i run lucas in the primary and redline shock proof 75/90 in the tranny... smoooooooth as glass when i shift... will help it from getting caught... but i will not lie... i have been known to MISS-SHIFT as well

my OL does that alot on her sportie, but I just tell her it cuz she is a girl...........

This is what I have to do, I just have not had the time.......

Being a soldier and riding in uniform I seem to never have the problem however, when I am in Reg clothes and boots I do it every once in a while. I blame it on the difference in the boots and getting used to it one way.
