CAMS FOR 2000 Lowrider
I have to replace the cams in my 2000 Lowrider. Mechanic says the cost will be about the same if I change to gear drive since all the chains and tensioners have to be replaced anyway. Does this sound about right? I hope so because I want gear drive anyway.
I am thinking about the Head Quarters HQ-0034-G cam. Any experience with this cam or any advice about other cams would be appreciated.

Looks like a cam bearing went out and took the chain drive with it. You might want to have yours looked at to see if the cam bearings have been updated. I had just over 21,000 miles.
Last conversation with the mechanic sounds like it may take a total rebuild/replacement of the motor.
