Default Shortshots installed!

Installed my shortshots Staggered on my 09 Street Bob in about an hour. The install was simple and easy. My only advice would be very careful with the black heat shields, they scratch very easy. They sound awesome, they are not too loud. I would say they are a little quiter than the D&D Fatcats I had on my Sportster. Anyone know of a good flat black paint to fix the two small scratches on the heat shield from the install? The paint is very similar to the black denim paint on my bike.

Looks great! Flat black sharpie works you will need to re-apply every now and then.

Thanks guys. I tried a black sharpie and it looks kinda glossy. Does Sharpie make a flat black marker or does anyone else know of a flat touch up paint?

Those are the pipes that I bought for my old sportster, I had that problem with the paint all the time. I bought the high heat paint from lowes or any auto store. Its about $7.00 a can and it comes in flat black. But it wears off. The other issue I had with them is the water spots. Hope that this helps.

Really? I have had my Black Sideshots for a while now and the heat shields are perfect with no scratches.

Lets say a woman opens her car door into you and you drop the bike...

I found that the same marker pen I used to touch up my AR15 worked great on the pipes. It's still on there after 3-4 months with no fading.
