Can someone with a 2007 Dyna parts manual lookup the part number for the clutch cable that would be used with the 10.5in. mini-apes. Apparently one of the local dealers I have access to has idiots working at the parts counter. They had 3 or 4 different part numbers listed but could not discern which one was to be used with the mini-apes. He did have one in stock that was approx 70in long and I remember the stock cable was a little longer than that.
I can tell you that the stock one is 68.69" long. It is 37.19" on the top half and 31.50" on the bottom half. Try this chart, and look for the 2006-2008 FXDB, FXDWG. Its the 7th block down. http://www.harley-davidson.com/pna/p...bmLocale=en_US
The part number for the stock one is 38789-06B
Note: They are measured from one end of the housing to the other end of the housing, not including the cable that sticks out. That may be why your stock one came out over 70 inches long.
Jireh Cycles has Motion Pro OEM cables for $20 or less each. I bought a 72" when I went up to 12.5" apes. It is a good fit and seems like a quality cable. I have 3k on it and no problems. The part number for a 69" is 48-639, price is $17.95. They also have a 68", 48-637, $24.95
