There is an additive in a lot of unlleaded fuel that will make the a little red

I think your plug look good. How is the engine performing? Any backfiring?

Ok that makes sense then. I used a bottle of octane booster a few fill ups ago.

Nope it's running fine. I just got the urge to pull the plugs last night, and the color threw me so thought who better to ask than the pros here.

do what i do,find a place that sells race fuel , i run 1gal of 100 octane unleaded cam 2 to 4 gal of high test, it smooths the bike out and runs alot better pulls a little harder, and stops the occasional ping

+1 on fuel additives, usually the center electrode should be ash white to tan, no black fluffiness, black wetness, just dry tan or lighter. Change plugs then run some premium gas from a name brand station, check your plugs after a couple hundred miles. Don't use E85 fuel it's not good for the rubber in your fuel system and theECM can't adjust for it. 10% ethanol is the highest rating ethanol you can use in the engines from Harley.
