I just bought the 52935-04 from the Screamin Eagle Road King (not sure what your make part number is for) for my 2k RK and it looks a lot better than the standard. The wife likes it better than the standard.

The top of the bar is 8" from the fender (w/quick detach).

I have the part # you mentioned.

Fender to top of upright (not pad) is 15".

Originally had a medium-low but replaced it - didn't take the touring backrest the Mrs wanted.

She tells me the low is more comfortable than the medium-low was

Here's a pic.

Obviously the look will be different depending in the backrest pad.

Here's a pic of the medium-low with standard pad. (Notice how it makes the handlebars look shorter LOL!!!)

You have the same "touring" pad I have, and I went with the low like you did cause that is what the dealer said it needed to fit on. But did you try mounting it up to the medium? I don't see why it wouldn't work on the medium as it seems to mount the same exact way as the other pads using that clip at the bottom to cinch it between the bars and the one screw in the middle under where the medallion goes??? I hate how high up it ended up on the low. Kinda makes me wonder why it is called low?

I tried it and as I recall either the holes didn't line up or the backrest pad was too low to fit or be comfortable. I held it in place and it didn't look right.
