Has anyone seen pitting on the fork slider dust covers? Mine is 6 months old and the black paint looks like it is "alligatoring". I am going for my 5000 mile service tomorrow, but I hope the dealer doesn't jerk me around cause I'm in Florida.

it is not pitting if it is your black sliders it is the powder coat... durring the process there is an out-gas that is released... means the surface was not propperly degreased... the pours in the metal need to be prepped propperly or else this is created...

 

sounds like a warranty issue to me... hope your dealer straightens it out!
