Default WTF ... how do you ...?

I've lost two nuts that have fallen down on top of the transmission and bounced down under the starter and solenoid ... but they didn't fall through.

How do you retrieve the nuts; and where the f*@# are they????

I tried fishing them out with a hanger but they don't seem to be on top of the transmission itself (nice that they have that 'waffle' top to catch ****); but, unless they're trapped under one of the wires that go to the starter/solenoid, I can't seem to locate them .... Have they fallen back on top of, or are they wedged in between the rear mount and the frame?

Thanks to anyone who's figured this mystery out and shares the answer!

Default Your Missing Nuts

Magnet and a mechanical fingers will get them out. Have you looked between the primary and the engine ? Yes I know, dumb question, but they can hide in there.

Pull the starter and they'll come out really easy. Not that hard of a job (pull outer primary cover, jackshaft bolt, pinion gear/jackshaft, then starter).

i just start it adn let it shake em loose... nothing falls out... then i chauk it up as the bike was hungry... dont worry about it... for the most part everything is sealed up and it will nto get where it does not belong... just make sure your shift linkage is good and clear of crap

I started stuffing a rag between engine and primary whenever there is a chance i could drop something down there...cuz if there is a chance, you can bet i'll do it.
