I just joined this forum so I hope my signature picture works. I really liked the styling of the Sportster Nightster 1200N, but wanted a larger bike. I bought a 2005 FXD and decided to black out selected parts, add fork gaiters and try to create my own take on the Nightster. I have a few more custom parts to buy, but I think I've gotten off to a pretty good start...IMHO. Well here goes:

pull off the strut cover, shock trim covers(chrome things around the upper shock mount), and paint the cylinders black and voilla 90% streetbob/nightster style!
Bike looks sweet!! welcome from Palm Harbor Fl.
A black bike is always an awesome bike man. I've blacked out a lot of my ride. It started out chrome, but slowly went black. Still need to do a few more things to get it just right (black rims, forks, tripple tree's, rear sigs, risers, mirror, and rocker box covers) and then I'd be DONE! (with the black out process at least).
All nice bikes. I road with some buddies last weekend on the highway at about 75 mph for almost 45 minutes. Not pleasurable!!! Oh well, I go for form over function. No windsheild...no saddle bags. We do need a solo seat though. Don't we???
