Hi guys jst got my bike bac on the road for summer and she was running like a dream.
Was about half and hr into rideing and was sitting at the lights waiting for them to tern green. Away i went got 1st and second gear went to get 3rd and the shifter went slack now its stuck in gear so she had to be trailerd home ( ive still got a clutch ) any idears?

 

Well, First off...

I'm real sorry to hear of your trouble here, bro....

sounds like it might be the shifter drum. When you take off the top of the tranny case, it'll be on top.

Do you have any friends that are really good with trannys? If not, you might have to either find a good indy shop to look at it, or get a lift, a manual and some tools....and dig into your new winter project.

Had the same problem with my 04 dyna while I was on a road trip. I got lucky...a bolt had fallen off and jammed the shift linkage between the primary and the case. Check it out and maybe, you'll get lucky!

jst to let yaz no how im goin on tht tranny problem. pulled the top off it today and it terns out that the weld had broken on the salector arm so it aint to much of a major aye.
still gota pull the tranny out to get it off thw you got any idear if i have to take the primery off to get it out ?
