Default DFO & Engine Light

I have an 06 Street Bob with V&H Big Radius pipes & SE A/C and a DFO. Everything is installed, DFO is set to 4,4,4,4. Bike runs great. The only issue is that when i stop and idle (caught in traffic, stoplight, etc) the engine light comes on, when i start moving again, it goes off. The error codes thrown are P0131 and P0151 (o2 sensor codes). Wondering if anyone else has had this issue or if it's just a setup thing? Not sure if it's harmful or not.

thanks

Jarod

oh, and I had previously had a bad DFO with the wires crossed. Dobeck hooked me up and sent me a new one.

I would guess that the sensors are detecting a fuel mixture that's out of the range set in your ECM's map. The O2 sensors work off an mv setting and they send a signal to the ECM. If things are out of whack, they'll throw a code. Call or email the DFO people and see if they have a solution to the problem.

Also check with your dealer straight away for what them codes mean , if they say its ok , leave and after they flag up a few times, they will then go into history , unless you delete them , then they will appear again .

I have been having p 0154 and p0134 because at present i have been downloaded a US download but i have not got sensors .

Might be on track here.

The settings you are using look to be very rich. Mine are relatively less then that. I can't remember off the top of my head, and I have them written down at home. But I know the phirst one is 2.5 Then I think 3, 3.5, 3.5

The phirst setting is an idle setting, and if it's only tripping codes then, that just might be it.

Is your DFO the Stealth? You could have an older model DFO. I believe from 05 up you must have the Stealth DFO which is invisible to your computer.

Just remember the 02 sensors only pick-up the oxygen left in the exhaust. Check to see of any air leaks that would add more air in the system. I know in the auto industry if you have a sparkplug not firing this will send more oxygen in the exhaust because it's not being burned.

Before I zip my bike back up from installing my DFO last night, is there anything to look at that will indicate I have one with the wires crossed?

Whiff

Thanks for the settings, i'll have to try those.

Talked to Dobeck last week and they said that they haven't had many people with the V&H pipes & se a/c using the TFI on the 06 models yet, so they sent me yet ANOTHER unit with a different program on it. Something about bigger motors and more radical modifications. Haven't installed it yet though.

If the wires are backwards, you'll be getting an engine light & an error code (or two). I'll check when i get home and see which order the wires are supposed to be in.
