Default 21" Spoked wheel for Super Glide

I'm currently deployed in sunny Baghdad and am planning a few projects when I get back. I want to convert to a 21" wheel on my 08 Superglide. For anyone who has done this conversion, what did you use? Do I just need to get a hub and rotor from a Street Bob and a 21" rim and have it laced?

I want to go ahead and start ordering the parts while I'm deployed, so any help would be appriciated.

What wheels do you currently have? If they are the alloy and because of where you currently are, I suggest you purchase a complete wheel assembly from J and P Cycles for $485.00. To build a rim and do it for a reasonable price is going to be time consuming. You will need a lot of time at the keyboard to locate the components.

If you want to build a wheel, reply to this and I will provide specific part info.

Please a list of parts would be super helpful. I want to do the front with a black hoop and get the hub powdercoated. I also wanna do the back with a 180 and an 18" wheel i think it would look awesome. Thanks for the help

Are you changing over to a wg front end? I wanted to but didnt,so i used my stock hub, bought new spokes and spoked it to a oem wg 21in rim.

I have the stock FXD wheels (Mag). I really like the sideshots, they sound great. I was not planning on switching to a wideglide front end, but I guess thats an option too.

Here are the part numbers I used for my wheel:
21x3.25 rim from Jireh Cycles, part number 30-50 ($39.95)
spokes/nipples from Drag Specialties, part number DS380138 ($48.95)
stock 06 FXDB hub (use your stock one if applicable or try to find a lightly used one)
120/70/21 Metzeler 880 tire ($150)
rim strip from Drag Specialties, part number DS181500 ($2.95)
tube from Drag Specialties, part number DS181225 ($9.95)

I took the hub/rim/spokes to a local shop and he built the wheel, installed/balanced the tire for $180 (3 hours/$60). This varies; the HD dealer wanted at least $240. You may be able to do it yourself.
This is the cheapest way I could switch to a 21 since no other model's stock wheel is a direct swap. You can check with places like RideWright, HD wheels, Black Bike, etc. They all make nice stuff, but I think the cheapest I found was at least $550.
