Looks good. Does you saddle bags scratch the rear fender? I wanted to get some saddles for road trips but I'm not willing to go to a 2 up seat or deal with scratches on the rear fender. How do they mount to you bob? Thanks.
No Scratches. For the front of the bag- I punched a hole just under the zipper flap (there is a zipper which detaches each bag from the cross piece of material) and screwed the bags to the rear fender support covers. I used a black zip tie looped through the rear bag support loop and tied it to the tail light mount. It may sound tacky but I have had guys standing right next to the bike asking if I ever have trouble with my bags flying off. They couldn't see where I had the bags fastened down.
It depends on what you mean by work. I only want to keep the wind and bugs from hitting me directly in the chest. For that it works great. Their is still alot of wind that comes around it though. It is completely adjustable so you can set it High or low or what ever. My placement allows the wind to come up from underneath. This problem was surprisingly reduced when I relocated the blinkers.
About the Slipstream shield: We tried one on a Sporty and it was ok for the 1st 50 or so miles.......after that it continually loosened everywhere no matter how much locktite we used! When it worked, it was good....but doesn't seem to hold up. On the new Bob, we got tthe factory deal from the stealership. Clamps right to the forks; well worth the investment! quick on, quick off, no muss no fuss!
