This may have been asked already...
Has anyone ever put Switchback saddle bags on a Street Bob?
I currently have ONE leatherpro bag (don't ask) and looking at other options. Considering going to hard bags, but I'm either going to buy one V1 LP bag, or two V2 bags. But because my mind is alway spinning on ideas of sh*t to do, I thought I'd through it out there and see if anyone has done it or heard of it being done. I know, the Switchback has a mount on the bottom of the fender
And is where your going to run into problems....the rear fender....
its part art of the docking system and it’s needed to anchor the bottom of the bag. Without the anchor the bag will shake like crazy and possibly break the other mounts or the bag itself.
what I am doing is I changed my fender for a switchback one....but I’m going retro anyway....
Crtman, which rear fender does you bob have? Are you running the standard length Dyna fender used before they put the chopped one on the Street Bob or is it the Chopped one? If it the standard one, I would think with a little modification, you could incorporate the lower bag mount, just a little higher up. If its the chopped fender, then youre out of luck IMO. Also, I dont think the use of the longer Switchback fender alone would give you a classic look. I think it cleans up the rear appearance, that much tire exposed between the bags just doesnt look right, again IMO.
