Damn all you guys and your awesome night rod fairings!! Your making me want to get one!!! Grrr... looks very nice man, Great cut out too. Looks awesome!
Looks like it was always there. Nice work. For the chin spoiler, try some pickup truck bed liner spray. Its a semigloss black and is tough as nails. Used it on some parts on my quad, and it out lasted the oem finish.
you did an awesome job. looks great...ever thought of powdercoating the chin spoiler?
are you gonna do the wheels gloss black powder?.... check out sickwithit's those wheels are insane in black IMHO. I like the silver engine with the all black around it like you did!
Looks good.
What did you use to make the cut? The cut looks real clean.
Dremel moto-tool. I used it on the chin spoiler, too. It's not as clean as it looks in the photos... I should have ground it off some more, but I got lazy. I painted out the edge with Tester's plastic model paint.
Thanks for the suggestion, Dpriest. I'll give that a try, next time I paint it.
As for wheels, I'm thinking about the black laced front wheel from a Street Bob, and that solid slotted rear wheel from a Fat Bob.
Just wanted to re-visit this thread and complement you once again. Your bike really looks great. Honestly, Harley ought to take notes and offer what you've done as the standard package for a Superglide off the floor.
