Default Hotdamnmotherfu.......................

wires. Trying to get them out of the frame to run them internally. I've followed every post I can find and I just CANNOT get my damn wires out of the frame. They will not budge after about an inch. I can't feel anything holding them back other than maybe all the other bundles but damn, I would think they would wiggle a little bit.

Any recommendations?? I'm almost to the point of running the wires on the outside using my newly drilled holes as "dimples" rather than using them for internals.

Well on my 04 I had to pull the battery and seat, there is a "snake" of the main harness in there. You need to work that into the frame while gently pulling from the neck. Be firm enough to get somewhere and gentle enough not to break it, kinda like with the old lady......

You need to pull the little plastic plate under the frame out. Then pull the plugs out there, so you can unplug them and then pull them out the sides. There are alot of wires shoved up there and I dont think the plugs would even reach to the side holes.

Yeah, I've got the rubber grommets out of the neck and still can't get any movement from the wires. I'm pulling hard enough to get them to move without destroying them. This sucks...................

Find the plugs under the plastic cover on the underside of the back bone and disconnect the wires. Pull the wires out throught the holes in the neck. Then run your wires though the bars and see where your at. I had plenty of wire, so much I had a hard time getting it back in the frame once I pulled it out. Thats why I reconmend running through the bars before pulling any slack.

Those arent the ones I mean.

Under the tank between the tubes is a plastic plate. Pop it out and unplug the wires and pull everything out to clear room. Then pull them out were the rubber grommets were.

Did you remove the quick connects from the cavity under the tank just above the front rocker cover? If you unplug the quick connects then use a small screw driver (like the kind for working on glasses) to push the pins out of the male quick connect you should be able to pull the wires directly out of the frame.

If you unbolt the tank and lift it up with a block of wood, it allows you gain better access to the plastic cover on the frame.

Or as joe said, you can cut the wires at the quick connect and then solder them back once you run the wires in the bars.
