I was looking into some heel rests, but I don't want to get rid of my current Ness footpegs. Anyone got a good line on some heel rests other than $150 HD ones?
When I purchased my DWG, the dealer had installled the HD Diamond Plate foot pegs and grips. Kuryakyn came out with a foot rest that can be used with these pegs and they may have one that works with the Ness pegs? The heel rests are a great accessory and I will never have another bike without them unless, of course, it has floorboards.
BEWARE OF HEEL REST PEGS.they are nice, but you have to becareful what boot you wear.if you have meaty tred on the bottom of your boot(combat boot).they tend to lock on the bottom of your boot.my friend had them he loved them, till one day he stopped at a light and the heel snagged the bottom of his boot.he didnt get his foot down fast enough, bike feel down on its side and his leg.broke it in 2 places.so just becareful.they are nice, iam not saying dont get them, iam just saying becareful
Just put on my heel rest, damn didn't know what I was missing.. I see what jackyl was talking about and how heel rest could be a problem, but damn they are so much more comfortable than pegs alone. I luckily found a deal on ebay for the Harley mid mount heel rest.
Just put the Stiletto peg and heel rests on my ride and all I can say is, every day you go with them is one more day your punishing your legs and feet, wouldnt ride without them ever again.
Installed a set of kuryakyns on my wide glide. Unbelievable difference in riding comfort. Took almost all the strain off my lower back. If I had it to do over again I would have gone with the HD pegs. They "appear" to be of better quality.
