I bought a damaged tank off eBay for $40.00 plus shipping.

Gonna cost $400 - 500 for the paint job and dent repair. Digging in my pockets deeper than I originally thought.

There is a nice set of custom painted tins for a Super glide on ebay right now for $900. I was tempted but I have spent enough lately as it is lol

There is a guy in town here that does all the local dealers paint work. He also works at a local car dealership and does the bike work on the side. He matches the bike paint better than anyone I've seen yet. He painted my tank for $175 & he does beautiful work.

i thought you could use an adhesive remover to take the tank decal off. Is this not true?

probably not. mine is clear coated over.

Here's my '07 with Street Bob Emblems that have been sanded. I think Chrome Street Glide Emblems would look better but didnt realize they were the same until I already had these on.

Damn, expy, you're bike is sweet. I was intending to get a black bike and paint it red, but got pewter for the same price as black. The pewter has grown on me, but whenever you post a pic of yours, it gets me thinking, again, about painting mine red.
