I really like the Fat Bob. I like all the Dynas, but they all look alike, except the now canceled Wide Glide(which I happen to own), and the Fat Bob. Bob tail fender, drag bars, forward controls, yeah baby ! That's what I'd go with.
My Choice is the Fat Bob, I had a FXDC before and loved it, but this bike I feel handles the twisties much better... Plus I really like the fat tire look.
Good Advice to go out and rent both if you can before you make up your mind

Reason: Edit
I tried the other Dyna's, but the FXDC was right for me.
I am just over 6' and have longer legs, so for me the forward mounted controls were an absolute must have option. I would highly recommend them if you're considering them.
If you like chrome, go for the FXDC. It's a beautiful bike and that 6th gear is sweet.
Really though, what came down to for me was motor color and to a degree, price. You've got your choice of silver, silver/chrome, silver/black, mostly black and black/chrome. I didn't care for the silver/black of the Street Bob, and the Fat Bob and Low Rider were just a little more than I wanted to spend for the black motor. The SG Custom has a good start on chroming it up, but I went the cheaper route for the plain SG.
Seeing as YOU asked; if I had to replace my current bike (FXDXT-no longer available) I'd get a Fat Bob in a heartbeat...seems most guys my age (50+) prefer the Street Bob (a brother has one) and they're clean bikes, but that Fat Bob has a nasty look right outa the box; (my 35 yr old riding buddies prefer it's looks) I'd like to try the fat front tire myself and see how it handles. Dual discs are on my radar screen, too...I sure like having them on the T-Sport...what ever blows your skirt up, though.....
I'd like to re-do my bike as a Fat Bob, with a 7" headlight, older style WG rear fender and 18" wheels front and back.
I dont like giving biased opinions to anyone, anytime
Just get the one with a big motor and you can see the shocks and you'll be happy.
And it doesnt need to have a speedo stuffed in the gas tank to go faster than the rest
