i'll second what Bill said on the windshield

i like going on short trips without it, but found even after a 300 mile ride my neck was sore. i think alot of this is due to the air catching my helmet, which unfortunately my great state of washington requires.

I cut my windshield today. It was tall enought that I always had to look through it, even if I sat up really tall in the saddle. So off went a few inches. Just from sitting on it, it looks good. Tomorrow I'll let you know how it worked.[sm=shades.gif]

first see if you can exchange.low profile is 3in. lower. height should be at tip of nose. unless you rest your nose on the top of the windshield, air will travel up and over your head. ----------------------blue dream -wtf are you reading this post for anyway? some holes gotta put in their two cents on everything!!

Went for a little ride today. The windshield is great cut off like this. I rode around and noticed that I CAN SEE. The wind is not any different than before unless you try to stick your head way up into the air. Even then not bad. Normal sitting is great I'm not looking through it anymore. If it rains anytime soon here I will go out and post my results on that. All in all I'm glad I did it![sm=shades.gif]

hey all you guys with windshields, take your left arm, hand open, palm down and put it across your chest at 60mph and see how much wind and noise is eliminated from around your face. If it works good for you, go to www.jacksflaps.com and check it out, that vest works grrreat and they guarantee it.

One June Bug (thats a colorful but large beetle down here in the land of rednecks and big bugs) right on the tip of your snout at say - 70 mph, and you will be a windshiled convert forever.

I keep my shield at nose height. If that bug can fly over the ws and back down at my nose faster than 70 mph he is a good one.

I wear goggles over my glasses, so, anything to the eye area is more scare factor than pain.

Hey Jaxdwg, Appreciate the info and it looks like a really interesting concept, but isn't that "they" you? It looks and sounded to me before like it was your product, which is great, but if it is, why try to make it sound like a "no financial interest" review?
Just trying to get the record straight. Art

Had one of those hit me square in the middle of the forehead one night at about 65. My first thought was about the David and Goliath story and was, "so that's how you kill a guy with a small stone" As you said, it raised a welt and hurt like the bejesus, but mainly I was just stunned for a while, as in almost knocked out.
I have a windshield now too. Art
