Speaking of meeting and riding, we should organize a meet in VA somewhere, would be great to see some of the bikes in person I have been admiring on the forum.
I think that's a great idea. I've seen quite a few on here from this area. I guess for John's sake (jmpancoast), we should probably wait til it hits above 55 degrees...?
The tins will look great on an already awesome ride. I've been thinking about having mine painted but not sure if I want to spend the kind of money my painter quoted. If you don't mind, how much did they set you back?

Well let's start planning it out, where would be a good place for everyone?
Maybe we should move this to it's own thread in the Dyna forum?

I paid $895.00 plus $40.00 shipping. One reason I chose to get a pre-painted set is that I still have my old tins which I will sell to re-coop some of the money spent. The guy will paint two fenders and a tank in two colors for $750.00 if you ship yours to him.

All I can say is that new paint is incredible. The new tins look great on your bike and I think the price was pretty damn good. Nicely done and the bike is looking incredible!
