Windshield on 39mm Wide Glide Front End?

Windshield on 39mm Wide Glide Front End?
I am installing a Vulcanworks Wide Glide kit on my 99 FXDX that has 39mm tubes. What are my options for (my wife's) detachable windshield that does not leave behind hardware. Can I modify the clamps from a 41mm HD detachable to fit the 39mm tubes? Any help would be appreciated.

I found that the Sportster replacement lexan windscreen has the exact same hole pattern as the wideglide windscreen. I would go to your local HD dealer and see if they have the clamp on detachable windscreen for a Sportster to see if it'll work. You may have have to reverse the backing hardware for it to fit the wide glide front end. Or, you could purchase the correct one for a wide glide and then order 4 replacement clamps for a sportster windscreen
