hi i wish to install these new pipes (see pic) on my wideglide they came without cylinder mounting clamps do i reuse the ones from my old pipes only i am under the impression they do not come off? thanks
I do not know about the pipes you are trying to install as I can't make out the detail from the pics.
When you remove the pipes which are on yoru bike now you will see how the mounting flanges work.
The mounting flange is an oval shaped flat plate which fits loosely over the header pipe. There is a split ring that goes around the pipe at the end and will sit between the mounting flange and the end of the pipe. It acts as a stop for the flange to keep it on the pipe and from sliding off the end.
If the pipes your are installing are the correct ones for your WG, you should be able to reuse the flange and split ring for installation. It is recommended you use new exhaust gaskets. It seems the OEM gaskets are preferred over the Screamin Eagle gaskets.
