Legal Dog has got it right. The 2" tank lift makes a world of difference and there's no source better than Jackyl.

Just my $0.02

BTW... my sigpic is prior to the lift installation.

Jackyl's 2" lift is the best investment that I made to my bike, and not very expensive either, definetly the most bang for the buck.

Ok so tell me if I am right. The tank lift is only the front and consists of two 2" brackets and an extra bolt. Is this correct?
I am making one and wonder if I am missing anything.

Lifted

Base -
1 bracket and 1 bolt. Pull your seat, loosen rear bolt, take out front bolts, lift tank, put in bracket, put in bolts (I moved the rear acorn nut to the front to match.), tighten all bolts, put seat back on, enjoy.
